Year 2 Zoo Trip
This term we have been learning about endangered animals from New Zealand and around the world. In week 7, we went to the zoo. We learnt about how animals adapt to their environments to survive. In particular, we learnt about the giraffe and the meerkat's super powers that help them survive. Ask your children if they can remember what they are!
We also saw some amazing animals like tigers, lions, rhinos, zebras, elephants, cheetahs, urangutans and many more. Here are some photos from our day.

During Week 3 we got to go to the Auckland Botanic Gardens! We got to learn all about plants. We learnt what plants need to grow, how the food we eat is made from plants and how to plant Snap Peas!
