2012 Interschool Para Sports Day

Dear Colleagues / Parents / Caregivers,
Greetings from Mt Roskill Primary and Mt Roskill Intermediate Schools.
Planning for our annual Interschool Parasports Day has already begun.
This event is especially for Primary and Intermediate students with
special needs, either in mainstream or exclusive settings. You may have
students who would be interested in attending. If one-to-one supervision
is essential, you must provide this support.
It will be held at Mt Roskill Primary and Intermediate Schools on:
Friday 23rd March from 9.45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
If the weather is not suitable a Saving Day is planned for
Friday 30th March.
The event will be followed by a sausage sizzle (at a small cost) and a
picnic lunch.
Permission Form:
This is for your school’s use only – we don’t need these unless the
child is NOT to be filmed. We do require the
registration form(s)
however.
Please send us the permission forms for any ‘Not to be Filmed /
Photographed’ child. A yellow sticker is placed over their name tag
which cues the photographer not to film/photograph them. The stickers
are posted to you with the final pack or can be picked up on the day of
the event (from Information Table).
Registration Forms:
There are two Reg. forms available (use as a master) – one for groups
and one for individuals. (See below)
Please post, e-mail or fax the completed forms to us as soon as possible
before the Registration Cut-off Date to either the Primary School or
Intermediate School (see below). If you need further clarification
please feel free to ring the Registrar.
Late Entries: These can throw the whole organisation into turmoil
(we cannot finalise the Circuit set up and team numbers until all
entries are in). We would rather not turn children away, but we really
have to draw a line at large numbers of late entries. One or two
competitors we can probably fit in.
REGISTRATIONS CLOSE:
MONDAY 27TH FEBRUARY
(final organisation will start 28th Feb).
Donations: This year our usual sponsor, Auckland Council have
declined our application for funding, so Mt Roskill Primary &
Intermediate schools will be shouldering the financial cost of staging
this event (the cost works out at $5 per competitor, with over 200
registered normally). Any shortfall will be made up by the Friends of Mt
Roskill Primary School Endeavour Centre Charitable Trust. Donations from
competing schools / competitors are welcome. This is not a condition of
entry, however. Please make donation cheques out to: ‘Mt Roskill Primary
School – Parasports’
A great day is planned for all involved.
